About Us

Kern Turf Supply currently operates two stores in Bakersfield, CA. Our primary location is at 3642 Alken Street, between Meany Ave. and Downing Avenue. This location is designed to serve our customers in the northwest portion of Bakersfield, house our corporate staff, and serve as our central warehouse.

Our southwest Bakersfield location opened in 1983 and serves public agencies, contractors, gardeners, and homeowners. The location specializes in our Central Control and Booster Pump product lines.

We service northern Los Angeles, Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare counties plus the Central Coast region from our Alken Street location. Please call us at 661-664-5200 if you have any questions about products, installation, or want to learn more about landscape supply or our irrigation systems.

Kern Turf Supply is recognized as the irrigation systems industry leader for the southern San Joaquin Valley. We are proud to have been selected by RainBird as their national Turf Division “Distributor of the Year” for a record three times. Additionally, Kern Turf Supply, Inc. was recognized in 2006 as “Distributor of the Year” for Rain Bird’s Booster Pump Division as well as the “Distributor of the Year” for their Golf Division.

Kern Turf Supply represents RainBird in the “Central Control Irrigation” segment of the market with the MAXICOM and MAXI-GOLF computer-driven systems. These two state-of-the-art programs bring an unprecedented level of control over electrical and water costs to our customers. Many cities, parks and recreation districts, school districts, and golf courses have benefited from these systems. The sale of these products is subject to our distribution and service agreements with Rainbird. In addition to the above extensive list of Rain Bird products, we carry full lines of irrigation products and landscape supplies from other manufacturers such as Hunter, Irritrol, Superior, Toro, and Champion.

With an educated, dedicated, and experienced staff, top-of-the-line products, high inventory levels, and competitive pricing, Kern Turf Supply looks forward to many more years of service to the irrigation and landscape industry.
